Gents: Today, our friends Reed, Schumacher, Kunkel, and Rumsey wowed us with a lovely presentation about satire and propaganda. Here are their notes (PPT)
For next class: Guys who didn't present this week should complete their blogs, with the military spoof writing (like the Duffel Blog article) and the composition of propaganda satire for today's group. You should also include a third section in which you address the ideas / readings from this week that you'd like to discuss in depth and analyze your own composition.
Going into next week: We'll work on research essays (PDF) on Monday; I've pushed back your due date on the research paper to Friday, when you'll also have your quarter test.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
