Gents: After a quiz in each class, our fearless presenters (Fritz and Nick / Chris) spent ten minutes explicating the stylistic elements of our respective texts before guiding us in discussion via their fascinating questions for our opening seminar on gender. My notes for each are below:
For homework: Please read Virginia Woolf's "Professions for Women," the second essay in your gender section of your textbook. Also, please write your seminar evaluation on your blog (that includes everyone, including the seminar presenters).
Finally, we'll do some rescheduling in each class for the writing center shifts this week (which I cancelled due to...well...the start of the quarter); for those of you concerned about your presentations, here's the discussion leader assignment sheet (PDF).
