Gents: What a class. After a sample AP MC quiz over King's letter (paragraphs 12-14), we engaged in a heated, fun, wonderful seminar about the letter (see my notes here).
For homework:
As always, if y'all have any questions, please let me know. Your exam on Wednesday will cover rhetorical analysis (in AP MC question language of something you've never seen before and/or a written format), as well as an AP-style persuasion essay that will cover the gamut of our reading and discussion this quarter. Fun stuff, I know.
- Write your last seminar reflection of the semester. Winner!
- Write your style analysis of your columnist. I'm looking for you to demonstrate knowledge of stylistic elements presents throughout at least three of your columnist's pieces. You can use the Fulkerson analysis of King's Letter (PDF) as a very advanced, much-long-than-I-expect-from-you example.
