Gents: [Sigh of relief] Your research papers are all done and submitted (even Mark Bugada got his paper to me via passenger pigeon...well, via a kind, maternal delivery service, actually). Kudos! I'll have them for you on Tuesday.
Today in class, we reviewed satire terms--the same list I gave you at the start of the quarter--to check on your progress and knowledge of each. After some discussion and compromise, I changed the quarter test (which was scheduled for Thursday, 3/6) to an AP essay / revision exercise (50 points...you'll write the essay in class on Tuesday; then, we'll review examples for Thursday, when you'll come to class and provide a grade for your essay) and a satire terms quiz (40 points) on Thursday, 3/6.
Finally, the Gang of Seven voted for topics for next quarter's study; we decided on Gender and Popular Culture. After B3 votes, I'll release the official results.
Thus, for homework... review your satire terms! Come to class on Tuesday ready to do some writing! If y'all have any questions, please let me know. Enjoy the weekend.
